Years ago, as I walked through fabric markets, I noticed something heartbreaking — beautiful designs existed everywhere, but not in sizes that fit every woman.
Whenever I asked for larger sizes, I heard the same response:
“Madam, this design doesn’t come in plus size.”
And I thought — why not?
That moment gave birth to Apella, India’s first designer brand dedicated to plus size ethnic wear, custom-stitched kurtis, and made-to-measure suits — a space where beauty and comfort coexist in every stitch.
